GUARDIAN HOMES & COOPERATIVE BREEDING
Here at the Ausky Club we are proud to be the pioneers of a purpose bred project breed. We are lucky to be able to truly popularize the breed and make it a household name it is going to take a lot of work and a lot of great dogs! As much as we wish we could do it all ourselves we know that making this dream a reality will take many hands and hearts.
guardian families
HOw it works
We created a Guardian Family Program to be able to grow our breeding program while still providing our breeding dogs a loving environment with that of a Guardian Family. Our Guardian Families are a vital part of being able to continue to provide dogs that have excellent temperaments.
The Guardian Family has possession of either a male or female pick of the litter (chosen at our discretion) in order to provide a loving home. The dog is dropped off at our facility throughout the year for breeding purposes. Any Veterinary costs associated with the breeding is covered by us.
Once the dog is no longer needed in the breeding program (females are bred no more than 5 times) the Guardian Family then takes full legal possession of the dog to become a permanent member of the family!

Aside from being an incredibly important piece of the process your role as a Guardian Family also grants you 100% of breeding related expenses covered by us. Plus when you choose to give a breeding dog a home you gain a percentage of the profits your dog produces! That means money in your pocket or a choice of another puppy from your beloved dog. How cool is that?
how to become a guardian
So you think you'd like to be a Guardian? Great! The next step is to fill out an application for Guardianship. After we have reviewed your application we will reach out to you to schedule a phone call. If we feel like you may be a good fit as a guardian we will then set up an in home evaluation to ensure the property is safe and the dog would be properly contained and cared for. Once we have discussed all the details of the arrangement including which dog will be coming to your home you will fill out and sign the Guardian Home Program Agreement. Feel free to review the Guardian Home contract on our Contracts & Forms page.
COOPERATIVE BREEDING

All of our dogs are sold without breeding rights as pets because we are generally selling our puppies to families and individuals who are looking for a pet but like mentioned above we understand that we will not be able to achieve the things we want to for the breed unless we enter into some cooperative breading practices. With that being said we are offering breeding rights to individuals or groups who are also working towards the development of similar programs.
We are also always looking to establish relationships with other Australian Shepherd, Siberian Husky, Alaskan Malamute, Border Collie and Greyhound/Whippet breeders in an effort to add variety to our gene pool and add high quality health tested purebreds and proven purpose bred mixes to the lineage.
